St. Louis newscasters shocked by Cardinals loss; air goes silent (Video)

For the first time in Major League Baseball history, a World Series game was ended with a pick-off at first base. Everyone was stunned, but the reaction to the play depended on what team you were rooting for.

If you were a fan of the Red Sox, you were overcome with glee.

However, if you were a fan of the Cardinals, then you had no words for what you had just witnessed and that is exactly what happened to the newscasters of St. Louis Fox affiliate KTVI.

Once the game had ended, the newscasters were caught on camera just staring into the darkness and reliving their sorrows.

Deadspin has the video, which you can watch here.

It is pretty hilarious to see, but we have all been there before.

When your favorite team is on the wrong side of a stunning loss, you just don’t know what to say and silence is your only reaction. We feel your pain, St. Louis newscasters.
