During the game on Sunday, Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Pacman Jones reportedly made threatening comments to New York Jets wide receiver David Nelson. Jones reportedly said “I’m going to find out where you live and come and get you.” Nelson however is downplaying the threatening words.

“I wouldn’t say it was a threat,” Nelson said Monday of Jones’ comments, per ESPN New York. “I’m not going to say that he threatened me or anything like that. He did say some stuff on the field, but I wouldn’t take it as a threat. I’m not going to get into specifics of exactly what he said. But I can confirm I’ve read a lot of reports that are true.”

Jones made the threat after several ‘dirty plays’ from Nelson. The threat didn’t register with Nelson, but he did take offense to being called dirty.

“I’ve never had anyone call me dirty ever in my life before, so this was just an incident where I just think he apparently wasn’t fond of playing against a physical receiver from the beginning of the game to late in the game,” Nelson said. “His view of dirty is a little bit different than mine.”
