Miami Heat 2013 ring ceremony (Video)

The NBA season is officially under way with three games tipping off tonight. Before the Miami Heat’s home opener against the Chicago Bulls, they celebrated their 2012-13 NBA Championship with a ring ceremony and raising the Championship banner. It was the second consecutive NBA Championship the Heat have won.

David Stern presented Mickey Arison the first ring. Arison then present Pat Riley with a ring. Then the rest of the front office got their rings. Then came the training staff and coaches.

At the five-minute mark they show a video from Game Six of the NBA Finals. They used the court as the video screen for the video, which was pretty cool.

At the seven-minute mark they begin passing out the rings for the Heat players. LeBron James had to bend over to hug David Stern which was funny. So did Juwan Howard, but it is the way LeBron does it that is so odd, yet funny.

Then they raised the banner with “We Are The Champions” playing.

Nevertheless, congratulations again to the Miami Heat.
