NFL trade rumors: San Francisco 49ers have no interest in Jared Allen
By Bryan Rose
While the Seattle Seahawks may have interest in Minnesota Vikings defensive end, Jared Allen, their NFC West rival, the San Francisco 49ers reportedly do not.
San Francisco has reportedly been one of the more active teams on the phones during the past few weeks, but news on deadline day has been relatively quiet out of Santa Clara.
Despite that, what we do know is that the 49ers won’t be attempting to bring in the apparently available Allen, this according to Tim Kawakami:
"NFL source: 49ers have “no interest” in a Jared Allen trade."
While Allen would be a nice add, the 49ers aren’t exactly in need of him and would be much better served using their assets to bring in a wide receiver, especially with the health of both Mario Manningham and Michael Crabtree in question.
