The NBA season is officially under way. The Orlando Magic are taking on the Indiana Pacers in the first game of opening night. Pacers small forward got the honor of being the first person to score this season. It was a simple enough play.
George was on top of the arc and waiting for the pick. Once the pick was set, he drove around it got to about the elbow and threw up a jumper that was nothing but net.
George was a big player in Indiana’s success last season. During the regular season, he scored an average of 17.4 points per game. That average went up to 19.2 points in the post season. His field goal percentage also went up from the regular season to the post season.
With about 5 minutes left in the first quarter, George already has 8 points.
