San Diego State Aztecs baseball team plays game in Halloween costumes (Video)

We’re just a few days ago from Halloween, a date that is close to the heart of the San Diego State Aztecs baseball team. See, every year, in what has become an annual tradition, the Aztecs dress up in full costume and play an intersquad scrimmage.

It sounds ridiculous, but it looks even more so.

I mean seriously – look at the shortstop. The guy is attempting to field ground balls in a massive cardboard box. I’m not even sure I could walk in a cardboard box without falling down, let alone shuffle my feat and bend over to field an incoming rocket.

Also, how about the Charger Girl, ripping a bomb over the left field wall? Probably the first and last time that guy will hit a home run in a mini skirt.

My personal favorites though would be Will Ferrell’s ‘Elf’ character at third bast towards the start of the mini-movie or the entire Jamaican bobsled team from ‘Cool Runnings’. That’s been done before (most recently by the Washington Redskins), but it’s still awesome.
