Following some European soccer action during the day, we are treated to a Mexican league match between America and UANL Tigres. America has raced out to an incredible start in their first 14 games. They’ve won 11, tied twice and lost just once for a league best 34 points. They currently hold a 6-point lead over second place, Santos.

UANL Tigres isn’t exactly weak competition, but they haven’t had quite the success America has. Tigres sit barely in the bottom half of the table at 10th, with 18 points. They’ve got a perfect .500 record having won four, tied six, and lost four. A win in their 15th game of the season would move them ahead of Veracruz who sit in ninth with 19 points.

Even though they’re the home team, beating America will be a challenge. They’ve scored 30 goals, and allowed just 10. That is a league best 20 goal differential.

Date: October 29
