'X-Men: Days of Future Past' First Official Trailer Released (Video)

The day is finally here! 20th Century Fox has finally released the first official trailer to the upcoming film X-Men: Days of Future Past.

In the new film, directed by Bryan Singer, the X-Men must come together to fight a war that may affect the very survival of the species, man and mutant alike.

As the title may suggest, Days of Future Past will span two time periods. Professor Charles Xavier and his once dear friend Magneto/Erik Lehnsherr must learn to work together once again to send Wolverine back in time to find Xavier’s younger self and convince him to believe once again.

If not, a war will erupt and threaten everything that they know.

Days of Future Past will reunite you all of your favorite X-Men Characters, as well as the newer, younger versions you came to know in X-Men: First Class.

Hugh Jackman will be returning as Wolverine, Patrick Stewart will be playing the older, modern day version of Professor X, Sir Ian McKellen will be portraying the elder version of Magneto, and Halle Berry will be returning as Ororo Munroe, aka Storm.

As I said, you will also see a lot of familiar faces from X-Men: First Class.

The Hunger GamesJennifer Lawrence will be reprising her role as Raven, also known as Mystique, from X-Men: First Class. Also reprising from First Class is Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr, aka Magneto, Nicholas Hoult  as Hank McCoy, aka Beast, and James McAvoy as our favorite professor, Professor Charles Xavier.

Here is a look at the brand new trailer for the upcoming mutant adventure, X-Men: Days of Future Past.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to be released on May 23, 2014.
