The Chicago Bears right now are the second highest scoring team behind the Denver Broncos. That’s with Jay Cutler under center.

Cutler as we all know, will be out for at least four-five weeks tops and will have to put a small part of their season in the hands of veteran back up Josh McCown. McCown stepped in for the Bears against the Washington Redskins and didn’t do that bad of a job.

He found tight end Martellus Bennett for his only touchdown of the day and Bennett recently spoke out on McCown.

"“He’s a great guy to be around, whether it’s at lunch or in the huddle. He’s been doing a great job for us in practice and everything, so I look forward to getting out there and being one of the guys to catch a pass from him in the games.” Martellus Bennett told ChicagoBears.com."

The fact that this team believes in McCown is outstanding and is exactly what this squad needs. I’m sure they want Cutler to get back as soon as possible, but the confidence in McCown should help him perform well in the next couple of weeks.

Their next game? Monday Night against the Green Bay Packers.

Who’s ready for this game? I know I am.
