Georgia Bulldogs QB Aaron Murray set to own nearly every SEC record

It has been a very disappointing season for the Georgia Bulldogs.

After losing their season-opener to the Clemson Tigers, the Bulldogs still had their eye on an SEC Championship and a possible trip to the national championship game.

Losses to the Missouri Tigers and Vanderbilt Commodores have all but ended those hopes. The Bulldogs still have a chance to get to Atlanta, but it’s a longshot.

However, team success (or lack thereof) shouldn’t take away from what senior quarterback Aaron Murray has done.

By the end of the season, Murray should be the SEC’s all-time touchdown leader and could be the all-time leader in completions. He’s already the all-time leader in passing yardage and total offense.

“I guess when I’m old and want to brag, I can,” Murray told David Ching of ESPN.com “But right now it’s all about the team. It’s all about getting this win. I guess I can talk about this later in life when I’m done playing and all, when I look back.”

Murray and the Bulldogs will be in Jacksonville to take on the rival Florida Gators in the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.” Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 pm EST and the game is on CBS.
