Johny Hendricks burned on UFC 167 commercial set

Johny Hendricks will finally be getting his long awaited shot at Welterweight champion, Georges St. Pierre, on November 16th at UFC 167. The UFC has begun promoting the fight with it’s new commercial where Johny Hendricks’s power is put on display.

Last month, while filming the commercial for UFC 167, Hendricks received a second-degree burn on his shoulder due to lights that were positioned to0 close to him. Hendricks manager, Ted Ehrhardt, confirmed the burn with MMAfighting and also explained that the burn prevented Hendricks from training normally.

Hendricks was prescribed an ointment to heal the burn, and he was back to regular training in a few days. Hendricks was not upset about the burn itself, but frustrated he missed a few days of training.

The burn is likely to not affect Hendricks at all come fight night as it will be over a month since the injury. Hendricks will attempt to KO GSP like Matt Serra did back at UFC 69. Since that fight, many fans believe GSP changed his strategy to be a much more safe fighter. Either way, GSP has not lost in 11 straight fights, and he has been completely dominant in each victory. Many fans believe Hendricks has the tools to give the champ a lot of troubles. Does Hendricks have the power to shock the world?
