NCAA Football Odds: BCS Championship

Our friends over at Bovada.lv have once again updated their college football odds.

In what should come as no surprise, the Alabama Crimson Tide remain the favorite after dismantling the Tennessee Volunteers Saturday. The Tide had 8/5 odds to win the BCS Championship last week and that remains the case.

In what should come as a surprise, the Florida State Seminoles now have the same odds, 9/4 as the Oregon Ducks. Last week, the Seminoles had 3/1 odds while the Ducks had 7/4 odds. It seems strange because last week the Seminoles were #2 in the BCS rankings and this week, the two teams flipped and the Ducks sit at #2. Although the Seminoles could pass the Ducks again with a victory over the seventh-ranked Hurricanes Saturday, the Ducks would likely go back to #2 and remain there with a victory over sixth-ranked Stanford Cardinal next Thursday.

The Ohio State Buckeyes dominated the Penn State Nittany Lions, but saw their odds go down from 15/2 to 9/1. That’s likely because of the ease the Ducks and Seminoles have won games with.

In the unlikely event that all of the teams lose, here is how the rest of the order shakes out:

                                                  Week 9          Currrent

Baylor                                       10/1                   12/1

Miami                                       20/1                    33/1

Stanford                                   40/1                    33/1

Auburn                                     Off the Board    66/1

Missouri                                    33/1                  Off the Board
