The Baltimore Orioles have announced a couple roster moves today that involve outfielder Chris Dickerson and designated hitter/first baseman Dan Johnson.
Dickerson, a 31 year old left handed outfielder is a former Cincinnati Red, Milwaukee Brewer and New York Yankee in his five year career. He was out-righted to Triple-A Norfolk today and was removed from the 40 man roster.
He was brought on board with the organization this year and played in 56 games for the O’s. He seen 105 plate appearances and hit four home runs with 13 RBI’s on a batting line of .238/.266/.400.
Veteran first baseman and designated hitter Dan Johnson was also out-righted to Triple-A Norfolk after his first season with the Orioles.
Johnson only played in three games with the Orioles, seen only five at bats and didn’t record a hit with one strike out.
He hasn’t always been a threat in the batters box as he only averages seven home runs and 24 RBI’s a season since debuting for the Oakland Athletics back in 2005.
