The Cincinnati Bengals have been impressed with rookie running back Giovani Bernard, but what he was able to do during the team’s Thursday Night Football match up against the Miami Dolphins was likely something they never saw coming.
Bernard to a hand-off from Andy Dalton before heading to the right sideline, before changing field and pulling off an incredible run that went 35-yards to the endzone.
The score will go down as a 35-yard run, but he ran closer to 140 yards during the play.
Bernard showed the type of speed, balance and vision that you can’t teach. It was his natural talent that prevailed and likely landed him a spot in the top ten plays of the 2013-14 NFL season so far. Even better for Bernard, this was the kind of signature play that could lead to a Rookie of the Year award.
If you didn’t catch Bernard doing his best Barry Sanders impersonation, be sure to check out the video of the insane run and feel sorry for yourself that you didn’t see the play go down live.
