As the college football season now enters its 10th week of on-the-field action, things are starting to become a little clearer. Not only is the national championship race beginning to clear up some, but so is the race for the most coveted individual prize in the game, the Heisman Trophy.

We’ve seen some solid individual performances this year from a number of potential candidates. Florida State’s Jameis Winston, Oregon’s Marcus Mariota and reigning winner, Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel, have all stated their case this year in some form or another, and so have a few others.

But now, it’s crunch time. The games are beginning to mean that much more as we enter November and each performance becomes that much more critical in stating your Heisman case.

Some teams with top-rated contenders are on bye weeks this week such as Mariota and Baylor’s Bryce Petty, meaning this week is a chance for others to step up and steal some of that thunder.


With that, let’s take a look at some of the match ups to watch this week for some of the contenders for the bronze statue:
