Matt Williams officially named the manager for the Washington Nationals

First of all, I’d like to say Happy Halloween to all our FanSided viewers! Hope you and your kids have a safe night and get plenty of candy!

Alright, now the Washington Nationals were looking to replace Davey Johnson for awhile now and several names emerged as possible replacements. But one man in my opinion stood out the most and honestly, the best possible candidate.

The Washington Nationals have hired former former World Series champion, National League home run and RBI Champion Matt Williams who has spent his first four coaching years with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

“I feel privilege honored to be a part of this team. It’s a wonderful group of guys and a great organization. I’m simply here to help take us to the next level.” Matt Williams told the Washington Post.

Matt The Bat Williams has been working as a third base coach for the Diamondbacks and has to be one of the most respected and loved coaches on that staff. Now that he’s getting his first big league manager job, he’s going to be picking up a team that has a lot of talent on it’s roster.

Having one of young promising players in Bryce Harper should be a very exciting thing for Williams.
