Just a few moments ago, the game between the South Florida Bulls and the Houston Cougars inside Reliant Stadium came to an end with the Cougars taking the American Athletic Conference showdown by a final score of 35-23.
In actuality, the Bulls hung in this one a lot more than some thought they would. They never really let the high-powered Houston team jump too far ahead of them and had some thinking that an upset may be in order this evening.
If only the Bulls could’ve put the ball in the end zone just a few times more they may have been able to shock someone, like on this play.
South Florida running back Marcus Shaw seemed as if he might have been making his way across the goal line from two-yards out. He took the ball and rushed toward the left side, but while he was looking to punch it in, he was met abruptly by Houston’s Thomas Bates and he went for a ride that he certainly didn’t plan for:
