The Buffalo Bills got a dose of good news, running back C.J. Spiller “should be good to go” according to head coach Doug Marrone. That is especially newsworthy given the comments Spiller made earlier in this week saying that he wasn’t ready.

“I wasn’t ready,” Spiller said, via the Buffalo News. “It was coach [head coach Doug] Marrone’s decision. I respected that. Everybody knew that I wanted to play. I wanted to help us win. But it was best for me so I can get back to playing normally.”

However, the fact that he wasn’t ready to play is surprising considering his comments last week. He has been playing through an injury before Sunday as well.

“I thought during individual drills I was able to do a lot of stuff without even a limp. That really surprised me,” Spiller said. “So everything is pointing up in the north direction.”

The Bills have performed well in the ground game with out Spiller. In last Sunday’s loss to the Saints the Bills running back tandem of Fred Jackson and Tashard Choice combined for 80 yards.
