Brooklyn Nets believe they're better than Miami Heat

You can’t be the best in the league unless you believe that you are the best, so Brooklyn Nets fans have to be happy with the comments from guard Deron Williams. During a recent appearance on ESPN, Williams said that the Nets have more confidence in themselves this season than they did a year ago.

In fact, the team believes they are better than the defending back-to-back champion Miami Heat squad.

From ESPNNewYork.com:

“I don’t know if we felt we were a better team than the Heat last year,” Williams said during a sitdown with first-year Brooklyn coach Jason Kidd for ESPN’s “SportsCenter” conversation. “And so I think in order for us to be able to beat them this year, we have to feel like we are a better team and we can beat them. And I think we do.”

Miami and Brooklyn are set to face off tonight, so we will see who the better team is at this point in the season.

The Heat were disappointed with their loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, so they will be looking to bounce back in a big way against the Nets.
