The Indianapolis Colts have suddenly went from deep to thin at their wide receiver position, though, have received some good news regarding Darrius Heyward-Bey as it’s likely the burner will suit up for the Colts’ Week 9 matchup against the Houston Texans.

Heyward-Bey was injured during Thursday’s practice and did not take part in Friday’s practice, though, head coach Chuck Pagano said that he expects the Colts receiver to play:

"#colts WR DHB listed questionable for Houston and did not practice today, but HC Chuck Pagano said he expects him to play."

While the Colts are coming off a bye, their contest against the Texans this week will be the first time in fifteen years that the team doesn’t have either Marvin Harrison or Reggie Wayne on the field, Harrison of course leaving the franchise in 2008 while Wayne will miss the first game of his career Sunday night after tearing his ACL in Week 7.

Needless to say, Heyward-Bey, healthy or not will be picking up a bigger role in the Wayne-less offense.
