The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have yet to win a game this season and it doesn’t help that their starting running back Doug Martin is suffering from a torn labrum that has kept him out of action for the past two weeks.

The Buccaneers have been reluctant to say that Martin would miss the remainder of the season despite his injury, but now head coach Greg Schiano is admitting that his star running back will need surgery at some point in the future.

Eventually, he’ll need to get it repaired,” Schiano said, via JoeBucsFan.com

Martin could be returning to the line up in mid-November if he can avoid a setback to his injured shoulder, so the team needs to hope that his rehab continues to go according to plan and that Martin will have the necessary strength in his shoulder to contribute in a way that can help the team get their first win of the season.

Of course, ideally, the team will get their first win before Martin’s return.
