After parting ways with the Dallas Cowboys earlier in the season, nose tackle Jay Ratliff has been searching hard for a new home. While Ratliff is still a few weeks away from making a return to the field, he has been meeting with a handful of teams.
Ratliff previously met with the Kansas City Chiefs and he recently made a stop on Friday afternoon in South Beach where he met with the Miami Dolphins.
From Adam Caplan of ESPN and CSN Philly:
Veteran DT Jay Ratliff visited the #Dolphins today, source confirmed. It’s Ratliff’s 3rd visit since the Cowboys released him.

The Dolphins are no strangers to adding former Dallas Cowboys players thanks to the connection with general manager Jeff Ireland, so that little bit of familiarity could be what attracts Ratliff to the Dolphins if he feels that he will get a chance to play significant time.
Ratliff has also previously met with the Chicago Bears.
Once he is healthy enough to return, it’s safe to say that he will not be out of work for too long.
