Robin van Persie returning for Manchester United

Manchester United is looking to add three more points this weekend against Fulham and keep moving up the English Premier League table. United could be getting one of their best goal scorers, Robin van Persie, back as well.

“Van Persie has been fine. He’s trained well and worked quite well this week so hopefully he will be okay,” United manager David Moyes said, via ESPN FC.

Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic are also fit and ready to go for United.

“I think both are very close to full fitness. They showed that in midweek when playing Premier League opposition. They both played for 90 minutes so I can’t see any reason why they wouldn’t be ready to be selected or involved.”

United will be without Danny Welbeck though.

“Welbeck has had a bit of fluid on his knee. He’s trained for a few days this week so he’s certainly getting much closer to match fitness but won’t travel to Fulham this weekend.”

United has only scored 14 goals this season, a healthy Van Persie could help them correct that and put some shots in the back of the net. Not to mention the attention he commands on the pitch and how he frees up his teammates in play.
