By now, most everyone has seen the confrontation between Uriah Hall and Mayhem Miller at a recent BAMMA event. In the video, you can clearly hear Mayhem Miller enraged at Hall and egging him on to a fight. After a few racial slurs from Mayhem, Hall eventually throws a punch, and the two were quickly separated.
Here was the description of the video that surfaced on MMA Interviews:
The scene begins with Jason “Mayhem” Miller being aggressive to a woman who is apparently his ex girlfriend who he has allegedly assaulted in the recent past. She was visibly emotional and upset and he continued to yell at her. Uriah Hall poked his head in the situation and instantly Miller turned his aggression to him. He began with continuous rants of, “N**** please.” Then the video starts and you see the rest.
Mayhem recently commented that he was meant to look like the bad guy and he is not a racist. UFC president, Dana White, also chimed in that Hall would be getting a bonus and definitely not cut for punching Mayhem.
Now, Uriah Hall, has released his own comments regarding the incident. MMAWeeekly spoke with Hall, and here is what he had to say:
Initially, I saw a big bald-headed dude. Then it hit me that it was Mayhem Miller. I was a little star struck, at first. He was yelling at me though, and wanted to talk to the girl. I guess it was his ex. I tried to stay calm and just diffuse things. I was still kind of shocked that it was all happening.
Supposedly, after the two were separated, Hall began receiving texts and tweets from Mayhem Miller. After the entire fiasco, Hall shared a thought that is likely shared by everyone in the MMA community:
I feel sorry for him. I hope he gets the help that he needs before it gets worse.
Let’s hope that Mayhem does get help. The past few years have simply been a disaster for the former MMA star. As for Uriah, he will be taking on Chris Leben at UFC 168. It is very likely that this fight is for Uriah’s job in the UFC.
