The Vancouver Canucks currently lead the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-0 at the end of the second period. However the game hasn’t been all about the Canucks, the Leafs have been involved with some action of their own. There have been fights against the other team, and against themselves as well.

One instance of the non-scoring action during the game was a fight between Toronto’s Phil Kessel and Vancouver’s Alex Burrows. You can watch the altercation here,

Another interesting moment in the game was when the Leafs took it out on themselves. Joffrey Lupul was trying to elbow Henrik Sedin, however Sedin ducked at the right moment and Lupul’s elbow went right into the face of teammate Nazem Kadri.

I mean I guess you can say that Lupul may have just averted a hefty fine or even a suspension from the league, but after all, he did just elbow his teammate in the face. It seems as if Kadri is okay after the unexpected hit.

The Toronto Maple Leafs currently have a 10-4-0 record, but are at risk of losing another game, while the Vancouver Canucks currently sit at 9-5-1 on the season; however that number could grow to 10 in the next 20 minutes.
