ESPN’s J.A. Adande was working the sidelines during NBA Tip-Off festivities. He wa working the San Antonio Spurs game against the Los Angeles Lakers when he got the opportunity to interview Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich.

Popovich isn’t necessarily the NBA’s version of Bill Belichick, but he likes to have fun with with interviews. What he does share with Belichick is short answers.

So Adande opened the brief interview by pointing out that the Spurs were 7 of 28 in shooting, and finishes the sentence with not much to like about that. Meanwhile he is making some weird face like he is uncomfortable doing this.

“You know, you’re an incisive man. That is exactly right,” Popovich says while giving Adande a pat on the back.

Adande tries again asking what the key to the game is when Tim Duncan isn’t in the line up.

“There is no game, just do the same stuff,” Popovich replies ending the interview.

Better luck next time Adande.
