Not only is today a big day for the Georgia Bulldogs because they’re playing their rival, the Florida Gators, it’s also a big day because they got to welcome back their stud running back into the lineup, Todd Gurley.
In his time away, the Bulldogs have struggled and have fallen down quite a bit in the SEC East race. QB Aaron Murray has been on his own, more or less, as other players on offense were also injured.
So, you would have to imagine that Murray was happy to have his number one weapon back in the backfield with him once again, right?
Well, this play early on in the game I think answers that question:
Already up 7-0, Murray just dumped one off to Gurley and off goes the big man for a 73-yard score. This was definitely a piece of Georgia’s offensive gameplan that has been missing terribly in the last few weeks as the Dawgs have struggled.
Georgia currently leads the Gators, 17-0.
