The Boston Red Sox are celebrating their third World Series win in less than nine years. As the Red Sox continue to win championships following an 86 year Championship drought, the excitement hasn’t worn off yet. The Red Sox have already hung a championship banner outside Fenway Park less than a week after winning the World Series.

The team has one of the coolest championship banner hanging tradition in all of sports. The banners hang outside the park above Yawkey Way.

The Red Sox concluded a great season with a near dominating 4-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals in the series. Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz had one of the best World Series performances on record and won the MVP honor. The Red Sox and Boston held a parade on Saturday to celebrate the championship.

This doesn’t mean the Red Sox won’t celebrate the Championship when the season starts though.
