Derrick Rose blames self for Chicago's struggles

After his Chicago Bulls lost 107-104 to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night, Chicago point guard Derrick Rose was critical of his personal performance. Rose turned the ball over eight times in the game, and he only managed to make four of his 14 shots from the field.

Said Rose:

You can call it whatever you want to call it. I would have to [say] I’m not playing well right now. For me, just continue to go out there and take the shots that they’re giving me. I told you, I’m going to wait but I’m going to have that breakthrough game.

If it was up to me, I would blame tonight on me. Turnovers, missed shots, missed communication on defense. I just can’t wait to get in my groove. But I can’t hang my head; I know I’ve worked too hard for that, so it’s going to come (ESPN).

Tom Thibodeau, Chicago’s coach, said the loss was less on Rose and more of a poor performance by the whole team.

Chicago’s next game will be against Indiana on Wednesday.
