There is a chance that offensive tackle Jonathan Martin may not return to the Miami Dolphins after leaving the team after “bullying” concerns and other issues with his teammates. Initially, the Dolphins denied knowing anything of any wrongdoing in the locker room, but now they are asking for the NFL’s help.
As more information becomes available, it seems clearer that the team was aware of Martin’s unhappiness and they have asked the NFL to investigate the situation.
Here is the latest statement from the Dolphins:
“We received notification today from Jonathan’s representation about allegations of player misconduct. We are taking these allegations very seriously and plan to review the matter further. We have also reached out to the NFL and asked them to conduct an objective and thorough review. As an organization, we are committed to a culture of team-first accountability and respect for one another.”
Martin was placed on the non-football injury list and it doesn’t look like he will be returning to the team anytime soon. Now, we will have to wait and see what the NFL’s investigation finds with all of the accusations being thrown around the organization.
