The Associated Press preseason 1st-team All-American list has been released, and leading the way is Oklahoma State pint guard Marcus Smart. After bypassing the NBA Draft to return for his sophomore season, Smart was on every ballot from the 65-member national media panel Monday, and the last unanimous preseason All-America was Ohio State’s Jared Sullinger in 2011-12.

Smart was one of the elite point guards in college basketball last season as he averaged 15.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 3.0 steals last season and won the Big 12 player of year award.

The 6-foot-4 Smart also won the Wayman Tisdale Award as the country’s top freshman, and figures to be a top NBA Draft pick this coming year.
