MLB Network held the annual award show tonight to announce the winners of the Player’s Choice Awards. The awards have been around since 1992 and are voted on by all members of the Major League Baseball Players Association. Winners are given money to hand out to a charity of their choice.
Here is a list of the winners, as voted on by their peers:
AL Outstanding Rookie: Wil Myers, OF Tampa Bay Rays — .293BA/.354OBP/.478SLG, 13 HR, 53 RBI, 88 games.

AL Outstanding Pitcher: Max Scherzer, RHP Detroit Tigers – 21-3, 2.90, 240K, 56 BB, 214.1 IP
NL Outstanding Pitcher: Clayton Kershaw, LHP Los Angeles Dodgers – 16-9, 1.83, 232K, 52BB, 236 IP
AL Comeback Player of the Year: Mariano Rivera, RHP New York Yankees – 2.11 ERA, 44 saves, 64 IP
NL Comeback Player of the Year: Francisco Liriano, LHP Pittsburgh Pirates — 16-8, 3.02 ERA, 163K, 63BB
Marvin Miller Man of the Year (for off-field contributions to the community): Mariano Rivera
AL Player of the Year: Miguel Cabrera, 3B Detroit Tigers — .348/.442/.636, 44 HR, 137 RBI, 193 hits.
NL Player of the Year: Andrew McCutchen, OF Pittsburgh Pirates — .317/.404/.489, 21 HR, 84 RBI, 27 SB, 185 hits.
