For the first time since he departed the Lakers, Dwight Howard was playing a game in Los Angeles – it just so happened to be against the Clippers instead of his former team. Still, the Los Angeles fan base wasn’t overly welcoming to Dwight who dealt with a handful of boo birds during Monday’s game, despite not taking on his former teammates.
“Me and Jodie [Meeks] and Jordan [Hill] and [Robert] Sacre, we have a great relationship, so we talk a lot and I’m looking forward to seeing those guys,” Howard said after the Rockets fell to the Clippers, 137-118, on Monday.
What about Bryant? Do you still talk to him?
“No,” Howard said.
Clearly disgruntled with the questioning, Howard suggested that the situation with the Lakers was ‘over’ and that he made his decision and that it was time to move on.
He ended the line of questioning suggesting the main difference between this season and last is that he’s now happy.
