It isn’t all about Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay today. They actually made a couple of roster moves Tuesday.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Packers have placed tight end Jermichael Finley on injured reserve and have activated offensive tackle Derek Sherrod from reserve/physically unable to perform list.

Finley went down with a scary injury on October 20 when he was hit by Cleveland Browns safety Tashaun Gipson. Finley was hospitalized with a neck injury for four nights before being released. He has vowed to play again.

“Of course I plan to play football again,” Finley wrote. “This is what I love to do. I love the game. I love Sundays. Based on the feedback I’ve received from doctors at this point, the question is not if I’ll play again, but when.”

Sherrod was placed on the PUP list after having surgery on a severely broken leg in the offseason. The 32nd overall pick of the 2011 draft is a big part of the Packers’ future plans and obviously, if the Packers can better protect Rodgers and Seneca Wallace, their playoff chances will improve.
