The folks over at Bovada.lv have released their newest Heisman Trophy odds.
Florida State Seminoles‘ quarterback Jameis Winston threw two interceptions in the first half of the Seminoles’ victory over the Miami Hurricanes Saturday and his Heisman Trophy odds dropped from 11/10 to 6/5. Although the redshirt freshman had a rough first half, he made a pledge not to turn the ball over any more at halftime. His words were true as Winston finished 21-of-29 for 325 yards with one touchdown in a 41-14 victory.
On the season, Winston has completed 149-of-212 passes for 2,502 yards with 27 total touchdowns and six interceptions.
Winston’s slight loss was Oregon Ducks‘ quarterback Marcus Mariota’s gain. His odds went up from an even 1/1 to 2/3 despite having a bye. On the season, Mariota is 144-of-225 for 2,281 yards with 29 total touchdowns and zero interception. Mariota will get his biggest test of the season Thursday when the third-ranked Ducks travel to Stanford to take on the fifth-ranked Cardinal.
