Oklahoma CB Zack Sanchez expects Baylor to throw at him

Oklahoma Sooners cornerback Zack Sanchez doesn’t have any illusions about what Baylor’s going to do on Thursday. A redshirt freshman playing opposite a senior, Sanchez expects to be picked on by the Bears and their top-ranked offense.

Sanchez, however, isn’t scared:

I know it’s coming, especially with the history. I’ve got it in my head that they’re probably going to take extra shots at me. But it’s something you’ve got to be prepared for and something I’m excited about (News OK).

Sanchez has played well this season, but he did struggle in Oklahoma’s last game. Sanchez was burned by Texas Tech receivers on multiple plays, but he doesn’t plan to let that happen again:

I was disappointed in my play. You can’t play like that, I understand. The freshman thing for me, ‘He’s a freshman; he makes mistakes,’ that’s not something I live by. I hold myself to a higher standard.

The Bears and the Sooners will meet on Thursday night. The game will be televised on FOX Sports 1 starting at 4:30 p.m. PT.
