Rick Nash injury update
Rick Nash hasn’t played since October 8 against the San Jose Sharks. In that contest he received a shot to the head from San Jose Sharks defenseman Brad Stuart. The initial prognoses of the head injury wasn’t particularly serious, but now it seems that Nash could have a serious concussion issue.

That report originates from a segment on SportsNet, when they talked about how the concussion injury could be a long-term problem because the team hadn’t updated his situation in over a week. While the SportsNet trio mention that Nash “snuck into” New York’s practice facility, they seemingly weren’t aware of another report that had been floating around.
A different SportsNet analyst was hearing a different sort of rumbling over Nash’s progress.
Hearing good things regarding rick nash. @ the practice facility, skated. Not day to day but is week to week. Good sign.

When pressed for a link or the name of his source on Twitter, Millard had this to say.
I trust the source. NYR very tight lipped. Best news is rick Nash is making progress.

It’s a pretty clear-cut case of either one or the other being correct. Either Nash is making progress or he isn’t. The news that he could be in serious trouble has been spreading like a wild fire, so we just though we’d let you know that it may or may not be true.
