Texas head coach Mack Brown tweets about Steve Patterson AD hire

Former Arizona State AD Steve Patterson got to enjoy the name in the limelight for a few moments today when he was hired by the University of Texas to run their Athletics Department.

Now, the majority of that fame was short-lived as the announcement of his hire immediately turned the attention to the ever-sizzling hot seat of head football coach Mack Brown.

Will Patterson keep Brown? Is Brown now done for good? If Texas wins the Big 12, will Patterson retain the embattled coach?

The questions were everywhere.

Regardless, Patterson is the new AD and he may or may not be Brown’s boss next year, we don’t know for sure yet.

However, the long-time Texas coach did take some time out of his schedule just a little bit ago to take to his official twitter account and address the hiring of who could potentially be the man he answers to next season:
