Andrea Bargnani may start at center for New York Knicks

Oh boy. Are you ready for this, New York?

According to Al Iannazzone, the New York Knicks are contemplating the idea of starting Andrea Bargnani at center, this in the wake of Tyson Chandlers injury.

Woodson said he could start Bargnani at center with Anthony, Shumpert, Prigioni and Felton.

Bargnani, who is often viewed as relativley soft plays like a small forward in a big man body, so putting him in the post seems like it would breed nothing but a tragic outcome. Still, it’s not as if the Knicks have many options, though the team may look outside of the current roster in attempts to replace Chandler who is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Cole Aldrich, who has been riding the pine with the Knicks should see a spike in time. He played relatively well in limited minutes for the Sacramento Kings last season and will at least provide a defensive presence in the post, unlike Bargnani.

Either way, both scenarios are less than perfect. Simply a matter of picking the lesser evil.
