On Wednesday, Borussia Dortmund hosted Arsenal in a Champions League match up. It was the fourth game of group play. The last time these two squads met, Dortmund stunned Arsenal in London for a win. Arsenal came in looking to return the favor but found the challenge to be as difficult as expected.
The first half saw no goals being scored but there were two yellow cards. Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta received on in the 23rd minute for his foul on Jakub Blaszczykowski. In the 41st minute, Robert Lewandowski received a yellow card for his bad foul on Aaron Ramsey in Arsenal’s defensive half.
Arsenal broke the games goalless drought around the 62nd minute. A ball was lobbed into the center of the box and Oliver Giroud heads it down to an awaiting Aaron Ramsey who puts it in the goal. Ramsey heads it with into the bottom left corner from close range. Arsenal kept the pressure on and almost got another goal from Ramsey.
