Winter Meetings are coming up soon which means teams are going to be hunting for new additions to their roster in hopes of a post-season run.

Now according to the Denver Post, the Colorado Rockies are going to be focusing on some relief pitchers to add to their bullpen.

Right handed reliever Jose Veras is a 33 year old veteran who is coming off a season after playing for both the Detroit Tigers and Houston Astros last season. He appeared in 62.2 innings combined between the two with a record of 0-5 and an ERA of 3.02.

Another right handed reliever Joe Smith, 20 years old, has played for the Cleveland Indians for the last five seasons. He has a combined record of 12-9 with 103 strike outs. He’s a sidearm pitcher that could work out great for this team if they do in fact choose to sign him to some sort of multi year contract.

They’re also interested in signing free agent catcher Carlos Ruiz of the Philadelphia Phillies. It could be a buy-low free agent pick up that could benefit them defensively.
