The San Diego Chargers have had a resurgence this year on offense, and much of that has been due to the improved play of quarterback Phillip Rivers. But his success is due in large part to having a number of weapons to throw to and that can take over a game.
It may be Keenan Allen who gets most of the production one week, only to see Vincent Brown break-out the next. But it’s Eddie Royal who leads the team in touchdown receptions with seven scores. He;s on pace to have the best season of his six years in the NFL.
That being said, the Chargers will need all hands on deck this week when the y take on the high-scoring Denver Broncos, but Royal was unable to go today in practice as he deals with a toe injury:
Eddie Royal (toe) not practicing today. Business as usual. Didn’t practice before past two games. Still played and caught a TD both games.
