The invites to the 2013 edition of the Senior Bowl that takes place in January have been sent out and been publicly confirmed.  Two BYU Cougars in wide receiver Cody Hoffman and outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy have received invites to the event in Mobile, Alabama while defensive tackle Brent Urban and offensive tackle Morgan Moses have been invited from the University of Virginia.

The Senior Bowl is the premier postseason All-Star game for college seniors and as of last year, juniors that meet the requirements, to show off their skills for a week in front of NFL coaches, decision makers and draftniks in the media.  The event gives the players opportunities to compete in practice for a week against the best in college football as well as get their opportunity to meet with teams as well as give the media chances to access to them.  There are a lot of players who get the chance to show off their personality as well as under the radar players to get some press in these type of events.

The Senior Bowl is also a tremendous indicator that the players invited will be drafted and many of them will go early.  Phil Savage, the main force behind the event as it currently exists, puts together an exhausting search to find the most talented players in the country including the occasional surprise.  Last year, Jonathan Cyprien was a safety out of Florida International that surprised a lot of people and ended up going right at the beginning of the second round.
