A new clip has surfaced on YouTube that shows Jar Jar Binks plummeting off the cliff of a waterfall and falling to his untimely, or timely depending on how you look at things, demise.
The clip takes you back to the waterfall scene in Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace when Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan and Jar Jar first arrive at the top of the waterfall.
After surfacing, and taking in his surroundings Qui-Gon realizes that they have emerged at the top of a very steep waterfall, and their craft is slowing moving towards the edge.
Here is where that quick Jedi thinking comes into play.
After Obi-Wan fails to get the craft to restart due to a lack of power, Qui-Gon does what any self-respecting Jedi would. He pulls out his trusty thingamabob and shoots a cable towards the wall, somehow delaying the craft from going over the waterfall.
Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan emerge from the ship, jump into the water (and surprisingly not swept away by the same waves threatening to throw the craft over the edge), and begin to fight their way through the current to get to the wall safely. For some unknown reason, Jar Jar remains in the craft.
Instead of making his way out of the craft and into the water like the other Jedi, he falls back into the craft and is taken over the edge of the waterfall, plunging to his surely painful demise.
Here is a look at the scene where Jar Jar plunges to his death.
In the actual deleted scene, we see Jar Jar emerge from the craft. He attempts to tight rope walk across the cable that Qui-Gon secured, but being Jar Jar, he falls face first into the water. Just like any self-respecting Gungun, Jar Jar swims to the edge of the wall where he is assisted out of the water by Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan and able to go on his merry way.

However, haters of the comic-relief character can always revel in the clip set forth by user withmorten2 on YouTube.
