Champ Bailey likely to miss Broncos Week 10 match up

The Denver Broncos will need to avoid being caught looking ahead to next week’s match up against the Kansas City Chiefs, while they face off against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday in Week 10 of the regular season.

Unfortunately, the team is expected to be without one of their top defensive backs yet again, as starting cornerback Champ Bailey is doubtful for this weekend’s game.

From the Denver Post:

Offensive tackle Orlando Franklin, tight ends Joel Dreessen and Julius Thomas and center Manny Ramirez were limited.

Bailey’s status for Sunday’s game seems doubtful, but getting so many players back to even a limited status — especially Thomas — looks promising for the game in San Diego.

Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has put together a solid season, so the Broncos will need to step up their game if they want to shut down the San Diego passing attack and avoid another letdown this season.

Having Bailey doesn’t help any, but they have plenty of experience this season playing without Bailey and they should be fine.
