Yesterday, as a part of the first ever Hunger Games global fan day, the first official clip from the upcoming film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire was released on Facebook.
The clip shows how difficult it can be when you are forced to maintain a fake love affair for the sake of the people just to avoid being executed by your very own government.
A tearful Katniss begs her mentor Haymitch Abernathy, played in the film by Woody Harrelson, to help her and Peeta make it through the Victory Tour, an obligatory trip through the Districts of Panem by the Victor, or as it were this year victors, of the year’s Hunger Games.
All she wants to do is to ensure the safety of herself and Peeta post-Victory Tour. Haymitch has to make her realize that the journey doesn’t end when the train takes them home.
“This trip? Girl, wake up!” Haymitch says as he snaps his fingers. “This trip doesn’t end when you get back home. You never get off this train.” Haymitch says. “You two are mentors now. From now on, your job is to be a distraction, so people forget what the real problems are.”
Take a look for yourself at Katniss’ chilling revelation.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is scheduled to be released on November 22, 2013.
