Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant is a fan of Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki. He even went so far to call him his favorite player. Durant admires Dirk so much that he even implemented Dirk’s signature one-legged fadeaway into his game. He hasn’t had a chance to talk to him about the technique though.

“I would love to,” Durant said, via ESPN Dallas. “I really admire Dirk – probably my favorite player in the league. No, I haven’t talked to him about it. I’m too busy trying to compete with him.”

Durant said he decided to work on the move when he was 13 but admitted it was hard to learn.

“Sorry I’m making Dirk seem a little bit old, but that’s when I started focusing on Dirk, and he became one of my favorite players to ever play this game,” Durant said. “I just tried it one day when I was working out in the summer. It was rougher than I thought it was going to be, so it took me some time to figure it out, but I think I’m doing all right with it.”

It seams to work as well for Durant as it does for Dirk. They’re both long players and the shot is incredibly difficult to defend.
