Currently at the half, the fifth-ranked Stanford Cardinal are leading the second-ranked Oregon Ducks at home, 17-0, in what could end up being one of the most significant upsets of the year so far.
Stanford has dominated Oregon in seemingly every facet of the game and have controlled the time of possession battle mightily. If you want to keep Oregon down, you keep the ball away from them, and that’s exactly what the Cardinal are doing.
Also, when Stanford does have the ball, they’re putting it in the end zone, which always helps with upsets as well.
After one of those TDs, a Stanford fan in attendance got excited. I mean, he got really, excited.
In the first quarter, running back Tyler Gaffney was able to get across the goal line on a two-yard score and this Cardinal supporter lets you know how he feels with his facial expression alone:
If Stanford can keep this up, you’ll see a lot more faces like that in Stanford Stadium this evening.
