Joss Whedon’s newest venture into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, is still in the very early stages of production; however, this doesn’t mean that we don’t have anything new to tell you.

According to the Calgary Herald, while in Beverly Hills promoting her new film Delivery Man, Cobie Smulders, whether intentionally or unintentionally, revealed that she, as well as her character Maria Hill, will be returning in The Avengers: The Age of Ultron.

I think I’m in Avengers 2 but it is very top secret,” she said. “I hope I’m in Avengers 2.  I didn’t get my invitation yet. Well, actually, they know I’m in it but they don’t know to what degree I’m in it.”

As both a fan of the franchise and a member of the cast, she is really excited for the new adventure.

I am really excited to read the script because they are introducing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into the Avengers universe and the bad guy is going to be very interesting,”

Fortunately, Maria Hill fans won’t have to wait quite as long as 2015 to see the character again. Having already reprised her role in the ABC series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Hill will be making another appearance, this time on the big screen, in the upcoming Marvel movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is scheduled to be released on May 1, 2015.
