This is about the third article I’ll have posted today about Tim Hudson and the Boston Red Sox.
There’s obviously some mutual interest between the two and right now Atlanta are probably nervously biting away at their finger nails.
Atlanta wants to bring back the veteran right handed pitcher, but Hudson is almost 40 and wants to win a World Series title. The Red Sox are adding more talent to their roster and have their eyes set on Hudson.
Not only are the Red Sox interested in bringing in Hudson, but they’ve had some time to consider pursuing St. Louis Cardinal free agent Carlos Beltran. If this team happens to pick up both of these players, there is a great chance they repeat as World Series champions next year.
Now according to Jeff Passan on Twitter, Tim Hudson and Red Sox catcher David Ross are ‘tight’. It’s always good to have great chemistry and a solid friendship with the guy who will be catching your best pitches in every one of your starts. This could be a recruiting tool that the Red Sox could use to reel in Hudson.
Not only does Boston want Tim Hudson, as @JonHeymanCBS said, sources say it’s mutual. Tight with David Ross, other Sox. Hudson wants a ring.
